About Us

Shaikh Alaudin Siddiqui Sahib is a prominent Shaikh (spiritual leader) of the Naqshbandi Order; a renowned Islamic scholar; a leading Islamic Sufi; a celebrated philanthropist and also believed, by a growing number of reputable Islamic scholars around the world, to be the Mujaddid (renewer of faith) of this era. Shaikh Alaudin Siddiqui Sahib has been the key inspiration behind all the projects implemented by the Mohiuddin Trust. As a prominent Sufi Shaikh (mentor) of the Naqshbandi order - commanding a following of disciples numbering well into the millions worldwide, Shaikh Alaudin Siddiqui Sahib believes his existence is to serve and improve the plight of mankind, regardless of colour or creed. To this end he has worked tirelessly all his life promoting the well-being of the deprived and the under-privileged where ever he has travelled around the world.

Holding the office of Chancellor of Mohiuddin Islamic University, Shaikh Alaudin Siddiqui Sahib has pledged free education to those from unfortunate and underprivileged backgrounds.
In light of current social and cultural trends Shaikh Alaudin Siddiqui Sahib felt that a television channel devoted to promoting family values was necessitated to counter the corruption; immodesty and the immorality being broadcasted by mainstream media. Noor TV was proposed as an answer to this. The mission of this channel is to remain a family-oriented station broadcasting love, peace and harmony.
As a distinguished Sufi Shaikh recognised the world over, Shaikh Alaudin Siddiqui Sahib was encouraged by the British government to help spread the message of Sufism to the mainstream public. This gave rise to the Sufi Academy, launched in April 2009, at the Palace of Westminster by Shaikh Alaudin Siddiqui Sahib together with Hazel Blears (former, Sec of State for Local Government) and Sion Simon (former, Education Minister).
Shaikh Alaudin Siddiqui Sahib is continuously engaged in serving the poor and the vulnerable, though he can be found in any part of the world at any given time, he is however, most often based either in Narian Sharif (Azad Jammu & Kashmir); Rawalpindi (Pakistan) or Jameah Mohiuddin Siddiqia (Birmingham, UK).

About Mohiuddin Trust:

The Mohiuddin Trust is a charitable organisation striving to benefit people of all walks of life regardless of colour, creed or social stature. Mohiuddin Trust is divided into 3 wings concentrating on International development; National awareness and Local Regeneration & Empowerment. Mohiuddin Trust was established in 2004 with the aim of improving the plight of the impoverished and the under-privileged people from deprived communities around the world.
International Focus
Much of Mohiuddin Trust’s international focus has rested on Azad Jammu & Kashmir, South-East Asia, north Pakistan. Amongst various regional initiatives designed to relieve hardship and poverty some of the major projects have included:

> The creation of Mohiuddin Islamic University, which has now grown to become one of the most prestigious seats of learning in the whole region. It is highly acclaimed for it diversity of subjects and faculties offered.

> Mohiuddin Medical College. The medical college is a significant wing of the main university, located in Mirpur, away from the central campus it is the first private medical college in Kashmir.

> Mohiuddin Hospital, Trarkhal, (200 bed capacity) is nearing its completion and will serve a wide catchment area in some of the deprived areas of Kashmir.

> Mohiuddin Hospital, Mirpur, (1200 bed capacity) is currently being constructed to complement the medical college and provide free medical care to the poor and needy.

> In the 2005 South Asian Earthquake Ordeal where the natives of northern Kashmir were afflicted most severely, Mohiuddin Trust was able to support; feed; clothe and shelter close to 5000 orphans; widows and homeless at the height of this difficult time. Mohiuddin Trust has since helped to find stable permanent homes for many of the victims. This number has now dropped to approximately 500 - most of them orphaned girls.
National Focus
In response to the changing geopolitical climate coupled with increased polarisation of multi-ethnic communities it is imperative that community cohesion is achieved. This can sometimes feel very difficult with so many dissenting views and opinions. Mohiuddin Trust is cognisant and fully alert to the benefits that lie within this as well as the potential dangers that are accompanied. Consequently Mohiuddin Trust works very closely with the local base in Birmingham and uses it to gauge the national attitude. Birmingham is inarguably one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the UK.
Mohiuddin Trust strives to implement events and initiatives that help to bridge the communication gap between people of different backgrounds with the view of strengthening inter-community relationships and eventually leading to stronger community integration and cohesion. Mohiuddin Trust aims to achieve a diverse multiethnic community united under a common law and a common citizenship. Mohiuddin Trust sponsored Annual Women’s Conferences have been hugely successful in the recent years. By providing a common platform women are offered the opportunity to interact, encourage and influence each other and reinforce their resolve in tackling today’s polarised world.
Local Focus
Mohiuddin Trust has gradually evolved from focusing just on international issues to concentrating on community regeneration and cohesive issues affecting people throughout the UK. Based in Aston, Birmingham, a bastion of multi-ethnicity, Mohiuddin Trust is fully aware of the obstacles and hindrances experienced by people and communities. At the grassroots level we endeavour to empower people to improve their employment opportunities and assist them to become conscientious members of society. We strive to educate men and women on issues relating to health and domestic values.

 Chairman Message: -

Shaikh Alaudin Siddiqui
Chairman – Mohiuddin Trust
Mohiuddin Trust’s mission to relieve human despair and suffering and provide hope and security has motivated many Mohiuddin Trust sponsored projects ranging from Mohiuddin Islamic University and its numerous affiliated colleges to the newly inaugurated Mohiuddin Medical College (in Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Pakistan). In line with expectations, these educational institutes offer a means of breaking the cycle of poverty and hopelessness and an opportunity for a better future.
As with higher education, medical attention too is a luxury afforded by the rich and affluent in most (if not all) parts of Pakistan and Kashmir. To this end Mohiuddin Trust has embarked on sponsoring projects to build and subsequently furnish hospitals to a standard at par with the best found anywhere in the South Asian Subcontinent.
Upon receiving growing public appeal to address the eroding moral standards rife in today’s culture and lifestyle, as a Naqshbandi Shaikh (spiritual mentor) I felt duty bound to respond - because aside Mohiuddin Trust I have, ever since an early age, been engaged with mentoring and counselling people from all walks of life to achieve a richer more spiritual life, preserving the traditional standards and values advocated by Islam.
In response to this the Sufi Academy was launched in April 2009 at the Palace of Westminster and attended by a number of cabinet ministers.
The purpose of the Sufi Academy is to disseminate spiritual practices and methods for greater spiritual realisation.
Our latest project has involved setting up a girl’s-only college (for 16+ students) in the north of England. Drawing on our experience in the education and development sector we believe a single-gender college, offering a variety of courses and skills to all denominations regardless of colour or creed, is a more effective means of learning and anticipate will help improve employment opportunities in some of the worst effected regions, over and above producing learned conscientious members of society.
With the grace of Allah (swt) Mohiuddin Trust has an impeccable record of delivering on all its proposed projects, effectively achieving each objective away from fanfare or photo-opportunistic publicity. This is made possible by the unwavering commitment and dedication of our many members and volunteers to whom we are very grateful.
